Social media carousel

Case study

I've been assigned this project by a client.

They asked me to create a carousel for their Facebook and Instagram pages.

Starting from the brief

We need to create a post for our upcoming marketing campaign to highlight places in London that young adults can visit and enjoy while staying safe during COVID-19 using the Tripadvisor App.
Would be great if you could come up with a few headlines that motivate users to open the App and search for these places (and maybe based on reviews?)

Our post is going to be 4 to 5 frames 1080x1080 for the Facebook and Instagram carousel - so it could be a journey that starts from opening the App and checking for places and includes briefly staying safe during COVID - COVID awareness could be visuals or words

Headlines in the pictures should be short and the caption could be around 3 to 4 lines.

My creative process

TO KEEP IN MIND

copywriter portfolio

  • Target audience: Young adults

  • COVID safe environment

  • Catchy and short headlines

  • Fall weather, maybe cold?

RESEARCH

After conducting online research and including my personal experience,

I chose 4 must-visit places that I think are interesting to visit, are Covid safe because they give a big space where to move, and even if the weather is not the best, there is still the chance to enjoy.

I chose Portobello Market in Notting Hill, the Sky Garden, St. Paul Cathedral, and Millenium Bridge area, and Chinatown.

VISUAL SELECTION

I selected the images to make the post attractive, chose a catchy subline for every page of the carousel, and used the guidelines for Tripadvisor colors, fonts, and call-to-action buttons through the App Store and Google Play.

I thought about a story around each place and came up with the headlines.

After preparing each frame on Figma, I tested it on the Facebook carousel and that's the result!
